Welcome to the 'Know Your Why' Blog.

Why is it so important to 'Know Your Why'?

Simple: To give you the mental strength and drive to make this business work.

That makes it sound like the business is incredibly hard - it isn't. What is hard for many people is PERSEVERANCE.

And THAT above all else is what it takes to be successful. Provided you have PERSEVERANCE, you will reach your goals and achieve your dreams.

'Know Your Why' is what you bring into play every time you meet an obstacle, every time you think of quitting, every time the business seems to be two steps forward, one back.

'Know Your Why' is the reason some people succeed and others drop by the wayside.

There are two types of 'Why':
  • What you're motivated towards - your goals
  • What you want to get away from or avoid

I'm going to share my 'Why'(s) and I hope some of you will share yours.

To your success.

Goals

Most people know that one of the keys to success is having goals.

However, it's not usually enough to just have those goals in your head. You need your goals somewhere where you'll be reminded of them regularly.

The first step is to write your goals down.

Then review them regularly, update them if you want to. The more specific your goals, the more effective they'll be.

Make them SMART goals:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Relevant
  • Timed

You can believe it or ignore it - setting goals will play a big part in your motivation and hence success.

What's the alternative?

My 'Why' has many parts and they all motivate me to keep going and stick at the business.

One of them is what I call 'What's the alternative'?

Often when I speak to people about the business, they recoil when I suggest that they should look at this as a 2-4 year business and that they should give it at least a year before they try to judge whether it's working or not.

And this might be a 30-year old with potentially 35 years or more left to retire!! Go figure...

I know that MLM is my best chance of achieving my goals and semi-retiring (i.e. kick the 9-5 into touch) before I'm too wrinkly.

I have 25 years till I would retire naturally on a pittance.

With this business, I know I'll have total time-freedom in just a few years.

Remembering the alternative is one way I keep myself moving forwards!
